Our onsite owner and riding instructor is Belinda Short.

Belinda and her husband Phil purchased the Yeates Rd propertyin 2006, after recognising a need for a somewhere, where children could come to ride horses and learn in a safe environment. The Glasshouse Mountains Riding School was established and although began with only a few riders it has quickly grown in stature drawing riders from the local and wider communities.

Belinda certainly goes the extra mile for her students, offering continuing support and guidance to all of her students. The school has a very friendly atmosphere and does their best to accommodate everyone. Glasshouse Mountains Riding School has a range of horses and ponies catering for the beginner riders through to those who are wanting to be compete in any of the given pony club disciplines – show-jumping, dressage, sporting and cross-country.

Belinda has watched many of her riders develop over the years and is now enjoying their success with them as they begin to compete at higher levels – some riding to qualify and represent QLD.

Belinda has been involved with horses most of her life, competing in One Day Events, dressage, show-jumping and gymkhana's for the last 10 years. She enjoys nothing more than taking her horse to the beach.

Belinda has been the Chief Instructor at Glasshouse Pony Club for the last 13 years, and is a Qualified Level B Pony Club Instructor and Level 1 NCAS Level 1 Coach. She also hold her EA Level 1 General Coaching qualitifactions.

Stephanie is Glasshouse Mountains' newest Riding School Instructor who is highly passionate and motivated to make each person’s experience at Glasshouse Mountains Riding School as fun, educational, and safe as possible. Her previous experience and formal equine education enables her to deliver lessons at various different levels and disciplines although she has a passion for dressage.

Stephanie is a qualified Introductory Coach with Equestrian Australia and is currently striving to achieve her Level 1 General qualification. She has over 4 years of coaching experience within Australia but also overseas experience coaching in America at a summer camp back in 2016. Stephanie has also recently graduated from Marcus Oldham College in Equine Management in 2019 which expanded her knowledge in the equine industry with a business focus.

Stephanie learnt to ride at Glasshouse Mountains Riding School at the age of 12 where she first met Belinda. Belinda inspired Stephanie's childhood dream to manage/own her own riding school in which she has been aiming to achieve throughout her whole career. Belinda has always supported and enjoyed watching the young rider/ coach's journey and was pleased to offer Stephanie a position as an instructor. The pair couldn't be more thrilled and excited to be working together. Stephanie is very thankful to Belinda for giving her this opportunity and is very much looking forward to being part of Glasshouse Mountains Riding School's future.
